What is a sugar shack?

A cherished part of Canadian culture, the sugar shack tradition dates back centuries to the maple-producing regions of Québec. A sugar shack is a rustic log cabin nestled in maple groves where the maple tree sap is boiled to make maple products. In the spring families and friends gather to celebrate and enjoy a hearty maple-inspired dinner of traditional Québécois cuisine.

Culinary Director Dominic Fortin and his brigade are excited to share their interpretation of dishes influenced by some of Québec’s sugar shack classics, elevated with a unique Bearfoot Bistro twist. They have crafted a four-course menu starting at $49 per person.
